Welcome!

In this unit we will travel. We will talk about places we have visited and places we would like to visit.

First do a quiz to find out what kind of traveller you are. Click on the link , it will take you to the quiz.

So, what kind of traveller are you? Are you surprised by the quiz results? Please comment in the Google Doc

Next, let's learn some vocabulary that we will need to talk about travel. Click on the link. It will take you to a quiz page where you can play different games using the vocabulary that is essential for this unit:

Games

Let's expand our travel vocabulary. Choose five expressions that you didn't know before and write example sentences that illustrate them. Now write a short story using at least 10 expressions from the list.

Here are some more types of holiday. What do you think about them? Which ones would you like to try and why? Which ones do you dislike and why?

Do you confuse trip and travel? This link might help.

While we are still dealing with vocabulary, you might enjoy some travel-related idioms. Here are some idioms related to transport. Choose five idioms that you would like to learn and write real-life examples that illustrate them.

Now let's listen. Watch the four short clips and do the exercises:

Now that you have watched the videos, which of the four places would you  most like to visit and why?

Leave a comment in the Google Doc

Now you are going to read two texts about some very unusual hotels. Choose one to stay in. Tell us why you chose it and what you would do there. Which one would you never stay in? Why?

Now for some grammar revision. In class we recently did Past Perfect. Here's a reminder of what Past Perfect is

And here's a learning module I created to help you with this tense
